3 New Series Channels on DSTV
With all the brand new series produced in the US, one was just about to think which of these shows will be broadcast, and which wont. To the relieve of these Series disciples, MNet announced that MNet Series, as we used to know it, will get two more channels, on DSTV. They will be M-Net Series Showcase, M-Net Series Reality and M-Net Series Zone. This threesome is scheduled to go live on 9 July, and all Premium subscribers with Multichoice will have these extra channels.
Shows like Army Wives, Criminal Minds and Mad Men, will be broadcast on the Series Showcase Channel. It was confirmed by Multichoice that these shows will be on the heels of the US, to be seen for the first time by African Audiences.
Reality shows like MasterChef, Survivor, and shows of the like from foreign countries, will have their place on the Series Reality Channel, which will also transmit talk-shows. If viewers have the DSTV Compact bouquet from Multichoice, they will be able to enjoy the Reality Channel.
During a Press Announcement, Pierre Cloete, Director of MNet Channels, said that MNet’s fantastic reputation in broadcasting is built on screening the world’s best movies and series. “These new channels allow us to do it even better, with well-designed tailor-made schedules for every taste,” Cloete said.
