Britain’s Got Talent on Mnet

A decade of success with Britain’s Got Talent on M-Net

Britain’s Got Talent returns for a new season starting Thursday 26 May at 18:30 on M-Net channel 101. This year, the popular reality competition celebrates ten successful years of amazing singers, adorable animal performers, and sometimes, even bizarre acts that prove that some types of talent really are one-of-a-kind.

Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams once again take their places on the panel, in search of the most astounding and adrenaline-fuelled talent Britain has to offer. Television duo, Ant & Dec, will be backstage to encourage, congratulate and commiserate these acts whilst guiding the audience through the auditions.

There will be a remarkable line-up of acts competing to be crowned this year’s winner, securing an incredible £250,000 and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance 2016.

Among the talent set to entertain and amuse are a dancing polar bear, a one-man band on stilts, an orchestra with a difference and the most dangerous act we have ever seen. There will also be puppetry and archery with a twist, the world’s fastest tortoise and a magician brave enough to smash Simon’s phone.

For the past 10 years, Britain’s Got Talent has been showcasing the biggest, the best and most surprising talent around. To celebrate years of exceptional and life-changing performances, the show will also look back on their most inspiring success stories:

Paul Potts, the mobile phone shop manager who shot to global fame after being crowned Britain’s Got Talent’s first ever winner. Paul’s multi-platinum debut album “One Chance” shot straight to the No.1 spot in the UK and topped the charts around the world. Since Britain’s Got Talent, Paul has embarked on multiple world tours, has released four studio albums and inspired the hit film “One Chance” about his life, starring James Corden in the lead role.

When Susan Boyle first walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage in 2009, no one expected the phenomenal success that was to follow. Susan’s first audition surprised both the judges and the audience and, overnight, turned her into a global sensation, as her rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” became the most-watched YouTube video of the year. Susan’s debut album “I Dreamed a Dream” went to No.1 around the world. She has now released six albums, including three No.1s, has been nominated for two Grammy’s and has, to date, sold more than 23 million records worldwide.

Since winning Britain’s Got Talent 2009, Diversity have been pioneering street dance around the UK. While appearing on other dance shows, including Got to Dance andAshley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew, they have also performed multiple UK tours, selling out the O2 Arena in London with their ‘Digitized – Trapped in the Game’ tour.

As the first animal act to win Britain’s Got Talent, Pudsey, along with owner Ashleigh, won over the hearts of the nation in 2012. They have since made numerous TV appearances, including “That Dog Can Dance!”, “Top Dog Model”, “Who Let The Dogs Out?” and the adaptation of David Walliam’s children’s book Mr. Stink. Pudsey also starred in his very own movie “Pudsey: The Movie” and published an autobiography.

From their very first audition, performing the West End classic “Stars”, Collabro won the hearts of the nation, going on to win the series in 2014. Their album “Stars” debuted at No.1 on the Official UK chart, while their second album “Act Two” went straight to No.2. Collabro are about to complete an extensive UK tour and have been performing around the world.
