Underwater is about the transition from being kids with no stress and all the imagination in the world to then becoming adults with responsibilities, stress, bills, etc. which is a transition we all have to face at some stage of our lives. We all have moments where we wish we could just drop everything and be back on swings in a park with no worries. Underwater is about finding your place or thing that takes you out of this world, even if just for a while, and it is the same care free space that Dan Vee sends the listener into , through his new single. 

Joburg-based Dan Vee has mastered his skills at performing live and finally delves into releasing his original songs, giving music-lovers heartfelt compositions that take you on a journey of his life.

With the release of his new single Underwater, which was recorded at High Seas Studios and co-produced by Dan, he says that in the last year he has been dabbling in music production and this has played a major role in discovering who he is as an artist and the music he wants to create. The single perfectly showcases that sound which celebrates a blend of folky vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar and feel-good beats.

Playing a vast amount of shows in 2018 gave Dan the opportunity to build a stage presence which is evident in his explosive live performance. Dan says that 2019 will be a busy year filled with a huge amount of live shows, but his focus is on promoting his original music and solidifying his spot in the industry. Creating his own music has been an amazing journey so far and with his debut EP planned for release later in 2019.
 
For now, everyone gets to enjoy the journey and freedom that is Underwater.
