The second season of the award winning spy-thriller series Killing Eve will premiere on Fox, DSTV 125 and StarSat 131, on Wednesdays at 20:45 CAT from 1 July, directly after the first season ends the previous week.

Killing Eve stars Golden Globe, SAG and Critics’ Choice Award winner Sandra Oh, and Emmy and BAFTA winner Jodie Comer. Nominated for the Best Drama Television series at the Golden Globe Awards two years in a row, this series premieres for the first time in South Africa on Fox. The series is also available on DSTV Catch up.

Killing Eve is a story of two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle, the beautiful, psychopathic assassin that she has been tasked to find. Season Two begins 30 seconds after the final episode of the first season, Eve is reeling and Villanelle has disappeared. Eve has no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead, and now both of them are in deep trouble. Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does, but unfortunately, she’s not the only person looking for her.

Based on the novels by Luke Jennings and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Killing Eve combines brutal mischief making and pathos, is filled with sharp humor, originality and high stakes action. Season two starts with Eve reeling from her act of violence against Villanelle and doesn’t know whether she is alive or dead. A paranoid and severely injured Villanelle manages to get herself to hospital for treatment. Carolyn then approaches Eve with an intriguing opportunity….

Killing Eve is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd and based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings and is executive produced by Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci and lead writer Emerald Fennell. Sandra Oh and Francesca Gardiner are co-executive producers. Elinor Day serves as series producer. Damon Thomas returns to direct and is also executive producer, with Lisa Brühlmann and Francesca Gregorini also directing. The series is distributed by Endeavor Content.

Emily Van Camp returns to the Small Screen in awaited 3rd Season.

Entering its third season, The Resident continues to rip back the curtain and reveal the truth of what really happens, both good and bad, in hospitals across the country. This third season of this firm favourite premieres on Fox, on Tuesdays at 20:45 CAT from 21 January 2020. The provocative medical drama follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis while fighting for their patients.

In Season Three, Red Rock Mountain Medical has taken over, inserting its own doctors – including new neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain and nurses into the well-oiled machine that was once Chastain Memorial Hospital, and causing the doctors to fight harder than ever against the corrupting influence of money in healthcare. The hospital is being run like a profit-hungry corporation – reaping huge financial gains, while risking the lives of its patients.

Dr. Randolph Bell is well-aware of the dangerous deal he has made with Red Rock, in order to get Chastain out of its financial crisis and, as a result, initially turns a blind eye to the new corporate mantra of profits over patients. It’s not long before Dr. Conrad Hawkins incurs Red Rock’s fury when he confronts the problems head-on, becoming a whistleblower. The good fight he leads could ultimately threaten everything he holds dear, including his ability to practice medicine. The Justice League of young healthcare providers must unite to fight for and with him, with Nicolette “Nic” Nevins in the lead.

Nic attempts to recover from a devastating personal loss by throwing herself into patient care and her work for the uninsured through her clinic. Dr. Devon Pravesh will find himself rotating out of the ER and gaining experience and power of his own in new positions within the hospital, eventually moving up to a first year resident. Dr. AJ Austin will continue to bond with his mentee, the exceptionally talented surgeon, Dr. Mina Okafor. She’ll be his support as he navigates a relationship with his complicated biological family, while striving to maintain one with the parents who raised him. Okafor will be faced with a potential new family dynamic of her own, when her best friend, Adaku, who carries the BRCA breast cancer gene, returns pregnant with no father in the picture. Meanwhile, the power and ruthlessness of new neurosurgeon Dr. Cain takes the hospital by storm. He embodies all the evil that can result when doctors care more for the bottom line than for their patients. Dr. Kitt Voss is the first to realize that his charm hides a medical demon, but standing against him could have serious consequences for her future. Cain’s ability to generate millions for Chastain leaves him free to exact swift revenge on those who oppose him – and no one is off limits.

The Cast includes Emily van Camp, Bruce Greenwood, Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Emmy Award nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Shaunette Renée, Morris Chestnut, Wilson and Jane Leeyes. The Resident is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series’ executive producers include Todd Harthan, Amy Holden Jones, Rob Corn, Antoine Fuqua, David Boorstein, Oly Obst and Elizabeth Klaviter.

Fox Networks Group Europe and Africa has announced a new executive team structure for FNG in Africa.

Vasilis Iliopoulos will expand his role to become Senior Vice President for FNG Africa, alongside his role as General Manager, FNG Greece. Evert van der Veer has been appointed as General Manager, FNG Africa. Both roles begin with immediate effect.

Joining the company in 2011, Vasilis Iliopoulos will focus on the accelerated expansion of FOX Sports and local content production, linear/non-linear branded entertainment and National Geographic Partners across key markets in East, West and Southern Africa. Iliopoulos is a proven executive who has been instrumental to development and launch of FNG Africa’s West African Football Tournament and FOX Sports Africa Boxing initiatives.

Evert van der Veer joins the company with a wealth of experience. He joins from iFlix, as Head of Content, Africa and the Middle East. In this role, van der Veer was responsible for content operations, content acquisition and content marketing alongside mid and long term strategy including local productions. Prior to this role, van der Veer had a long tenure at Viacom International Media Networks Africa, including roles as Vice President for Comedy Central, and the creation and execution of the programming and acquisition strategy to launch BET (Black Entertainment Television) in 2015.

Vasilis is a leader in the truest sense of the word and enjoys the respect and admiration of team members and clients alike in every market he has tackled. Evert is a consummate media professional, who is a fixture in the Johannesburg media scene, and a content expert committed to the future of media across the African continent. I have no doubt that both Vasilis and Evert will prove instrumental in our continued expansion into Sub Saharan Africa.”
