Jeri’s emotionally captivating music video released.

Who are we in essence when we allow ourselves to truly be? What emerges from the stillness? These are the questions that South African born folk singer, Jeri Silverman’s, new video and single poses.

After swapping seascapes for skyscrapers, Silverman returned to SA from New York to launch her new album Dear Life.

Her new video for I Wonder, shot and edited by Ryk Otto (Popsicle Studios) in Cape Town, is the first single off Dear Life and at its core, asks us how often we really slow down from our day-to-day pursuits to really feel? It’s about finding oneself and the world in an unhinged space and exploring how we may take better care of each another and of the planet.

Shot in one take, the camera focuses directly on Silverman as she expresses very natural, vulnerable expression that’s raw and filled with emotion.

Artist and concept designer, Alexis Aronson, created a series of tally marks in the background that gradually increase in intensity and speed throughout the video, like a time bomb. A flickering reminder of the many casualties suffered in the pursuit of greed.
