Johannesburg, 25 November 2025: Bedford Centre is embracing the magic of Christmas this year, offering visitors new takes on timeless traditions and moments shared. The season brings together everything people love about the holidays, connection, celebration and treasured moments, through a line-up of experiences that epitomise the warmth and wonder of the festive season.

A Festive Evening to Diarise
The celebrations begin on Friday, 5 December, with two signature events that promise to set the tone for a joyful season ahead. At 18:00, visitors can gather on the lower level for Christmas Carols with Jeppe High School for Girls and St James Presbyterian Church. The evening will be filled with the familiar sounds of the holidays as the community comes together to sing the timeless songs of Christmas.
Also, that day, from 4 PM to 10 PM, the Bedford Sunset Market will take place at Entrance 2’s parking area. Here, visitors can enjoy a relaxed open-air market featuring delicious food, handcrafted gifts and live music. The market offers a charming way to ease into the festive season, surrounded by friends, family and the glow of the Bedfordview evening sky. These two can also be combined to create one unforgettable evening!

Markets, Memories and Meaningful Moments
From 13 to 23 December, shoppers can explore the Indoor Festive Market on the lower level, where local craftsmen will showcase beautifully curated gifts, seasonal treats and handmade treasures. On Saturday, 13 December, Bedford will host the SPCA Book Fair in the lower-level centre court, giving visitors the chance to support a meaningful cause while enjoying their shopping. Proceeds from the centre’s gift-wrapping station during this period will also go towards the Germiston SPCA.
This year’s décor celebrates the classic colours of Christmas, with elegant touches of red, gold and green throughout the centre. Shoppers can look forward to the return of the giant outdoor LED tree that lights up the Bedfordview skyline, photos with Santa and the much-loved Bedford teddy bear.
For families seeking a bit of playful fun, the popular Neon Glow Mini Golf will be open every day from 5 – 23 December during the festive season, creating moments of delight for visitors of all ages. Updates on the Neon Glow Mini Golf trading hours will be posted on the centre’s social media feeds. From 17–23 December, most stores in Bedford will be open until 7:00 pm (normal weekend hours apply), giving shoppers extra time to find the perfect gift.
