Isabella Jane through to SAGT’s Semi’s

16 year old ISABELLA JANE and ROSIE blow SA’s Got Talent judges away

When 16-year old Isabella Jane stepped onto the SA’s Got Talent stage on Sunday 11th October, little did the judges, studio audience and TV viewers know they were in for something special when she and Rosie, her ventriloquist puppet, began their performance.

Without reservation, Isabella Jane and Rosie were given a resounding yes to go through to the SA’s Got Talent Semi-Final that will be taking place on Sunday 25th  October on eTV at 6pm.

This is not the first time that Fourways resident Isabella Jane, still in school and currently writing her Matric Exams, has impressed audiences. She was one of the featured headliners in the Born To Perform Gala Concert that took place at The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in July, blowing the audience away with hers and Rosie’s rendition of Barbra Streisand’s “People”.

Since then, Isabella Jane and Rosie have made countless appearances and performances nationwide. Most recently they shared the stage with the Stageworx Performers and other Born To Perform artists alongside artists such as MiCasa and Samantha Peo at the prestigious On the Night Fireworks Spectacular held at St Johns College earlier in October, receiving a rapturous response from the 2000-strong crowd.

This teenager is no stranger to performance, from the tender age of five when she stepped onto stage at the National Eisteddfod and performed Bare Necessities and won her place onto the South African team at the SA Championships of the Performing Arts the following year at age 6, she has always destined to be on stage.

As Isabella, she has countless theatre credits to her name that many adults will envy, including; The Jungle Book; Alice in Wonderland; The Little Mermaid; The Gingerbread Man 2, Sleeping Beauty and many others.

This triple threat has also sung Opera Arias with the Johannesburg Symphony, The Rand Symphony and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestras respectively.

She is currently focused on being a recording artist and Actress and performer , both on stage and film.

But first – she aims to get as far as she possibly can in the current season of SA’s Got Talent and had this to say; “I am so excited as I’ve always wanted to make  the entertainment industry my career and SAGT is a brilliant platform for me to be able to touch as many people as possible and to make them feel something. To be able to touch hearts and minds in a positive way is a privilege.”

On Sunday 25 October, tune into SA’s Got Talent on eTV at 18h00 and vote for Isabella Jane and Rosie!

Live voting takes place after the show between 19h00 and 19h30 with the results given that same evening at 19h30.
