We are all Wonder Women – Celebrating Strong Woman this August

Riana NelAugust is generally referred to as Women’s Month, because we annually celebrate National Women’s Day on 9 August, to commemorate the actions of women in 1956 who contributed to South Africa’s drive for freedom and equality.

Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria is pleased to announce that they are doing their part for the 2019 celebrations, with the Women’s Celebration Concert in support of the Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA Care & Support).

HPCA Care & Support’s purpose is to promote and improve the quality of life for persons, and their families, with life-threating illnesses. They offer palliative care to patients by means of early identification, proper assessments and treatment of pain and other problems on a physical, psychosocial and spiritual level.

The Women’s Celebration Concert will be held at Sun Arena on Sunday 11 August 2019 at 14:00 with powerful women gracing the stage.

The master of ceremonies is the well-known radio personality, business owner and blogger Elana Afrika-Brendenkamp, with female vocalist’s PJ Powers, Riana Nel, Demi Lee Moore and Charlize Berg.

The powerful PJ Powers, also known as Thandeka, has been a voice for South Africans since the 1980’s. She has performed for world leaders like Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth and others, and with long list of acclaimed accolades she promises to stun her audience once again.

Riana Nel, Namibian singer-songwriter, has stolen the hearts of South Africans with her phenomenal voice and lyrics. Her live performances are always exciting, filled with emotion, and a showcase of her exceptional talent.

Winner of the recent reality TV show Die Kontrak, and winner of five Ghoema Music Awards, Demi Lee Moore, will leave anybody wanting more with her beautiful voice and incredible vocal range.

Charlize Berg is a South African singer, songwriter and aspiring actress. During her first years in the music industry, she became a prominent figure in mainstream SA Music industry.

The concert will also include special performances by The Muses, a sensational pop string quartet that plays contemporary music with classical instruments and 1st Project, an eye-candy industrial percussion act.

Tickets for the Women’s Celebration Concert is available at Computicket. Proceeds of the concert will go to HPCA Care & Support and guests will be able to make further donations at the concert.
