Discover the Craft of Cocktal and Canapè flavour combinations.
For seventy years, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts has pioneered luxury travel across the globe and today, the iconic hotels and resorts brand announced the launch of the InterContinental Worldly Classics, a carefully crafted selection of classic and non-alcoholic cocktails to serve its guests in a truly luxurious bar experience, wherever they are in the world.
The launch of the cocktails is just in time for the summer holidays in South Africa where they can be enjoyed in the lap of luxury overlooking the Johannesburg and Sandton Skylines at InterContinental Hotel Sandton Towers, and InterContinental Johannesgburg, OR Thambo.
Cocktails and cuisine have always been the perfect pairing. In fact, there is no greater luxury than savouring the flavours of a specially prepared dish, while relaxing over your favourite drink. From iconic favourites to classics with a fresh twist – alcoholic or otherwise – InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is playing palate ‘matchmaker’, pairing your favourite mocktail or cocktail with bites that perfectly complement for a truly luxurious experience in each of its bars and lounges around the world.
Seven Worldly Classics cocktails will be featured in all InterContinental Hotels & Resorts across the globe, including the Negroni, Old Fashioned and Margarita, to name a few. An additional 15 cocktails and 15 non-alcoholic drinks form an AMEA bespoke collection created especially for discerning drinkers throughout the region.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Chief Mixologist for the AMEA Region, Nick Braun, and some of the hotel and resort brand’s leading chefs from around the region, have matched a selection from its Worldly Classics cocktail collection with carefully curated canapés, bringing together tastes and flavours which have been designed to effortlessly balance, blend and counter the tones and notes of some of the world’s most well-known beverages.
Whether you enjoy the creaminess of the Tahini & Mint Chutney which accompanies rich, savoury Falafels or the enlivening flavour of the Wasabi Mayonnaise served with Vegetable Tempura, there’s an array of canapés to suit any appetite, palate and drink choice.
Bruce Ryde, Head of Luxury & Lifestyle, Brand Marketing – Asia, Middle East & Africa, InterContinental Hotels Group said: “For the past seven decades we’ve been at the forefront of bringing the luxury of travel to our guests; and today, our newly-launched collection of InterContinental Worldly Classics cocktails continues to bring to life the glamour and romance associated with those ‘Golden Years of Travel’.”
“From iconic favourites to classics with a fresh twist – alcoholic or otherwise – the selection of InterContinental Worldly Classics offers guests a luxurious experience in any InterContinental Hotels & Resorts bar or lounge around the world,” Bruce finished.
