HBO® and M-Net Invite Game of Thrones® Fans to Bleed For The Throne!
What would you do for the Throne? Prove your devotion and Bleed For The Throne– join the global Game of Thrones blood donation promotional effort.
In partnership with HBO, M-Net, the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) and the Western Cape Blood Service (WPBS), the broadcaster is inviting all Johannesburg and Cape Town fans to prove their devotion and Bleed for the Throne. In a gesture worthy of one of the biggest shows on television, this event is designed to harness the cultural power of Westeros to help end blood shortages in the real world.
M-Net kicks off Bleed For The Throne in Cape Town at the N1 City Mall and Nu Metro Canal Walk on Saturday 16 March from 10:00 until 15:00, and in Johannesburg at The Zone in Rosebank Mall on Saturday 23 March from 10:00 until 15:00 and then Nu Metro Hyde park on Sunday 24 March at 10:00-15:00. Durban has also been added and fans can go to Nu Metro Pavillion on Saturday 30 March at 10:00-15:00.
Donating blood during this time also means that fans will receive an exclusive Bleed For The Throne t-shirt (while supplies last). This impactful initiative will bring together fans from the global Game of Thrones community including Norway, Sweden, Kenya, Ghana, Botswana, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and Croatia, so be sure to join in on this excellent cause.
The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones premieres on Monday April 15, Express from the US at 03:00 and in Prime Time on the same day at 22:00 on M-Net 101 on DStv.
