JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Everyone’s favourite Belgian detective is back! Hercule Poirot is coming to Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino Theatre from 21 August to 27 September in a brand-new stage adaptation of Agatha Christie’s classic crime novel, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.
Poirot has retired to the quiet village of King’s Abbot to grow prize-winning marrows. But when Roger Ackroyd—the master of Fernly Hall—is murdered, the detective has to put his retirement on hold.
Aided by the local doctor and a police inspector, Poirot must sort through a web of secrets, strange family dynamics, and confusing alibis. He quickly realises that solving crimes is what he does best, and gardening will just have to wait.
Packed with thrills, laughs, and huge twists, this show invites the audience to play detective. Can you solve the mystery before Poirot does?
