Johannesburg, 25 June 2026: Starting this June, Studio Universal celebrates the spirit of the game with a dedicated selection of football-inspired favourites. Super Soccer Saturday will land on Studio Universal (DStv 112) from 27 June to 4 July, across two Saturday afternoons. Expect familiar favourites, a touch of humour and stories that keep the energy of the game going beyond the pitch.

Saturday, 27 June, 4:10 PM – She’s The Man. Determined to prove she’s got what it takes to make the boys’ high school football (soccer) team, Viola Hastings impersonates her twin brother Sebastian and takes his place at his new prep school in this hilarious contemporary take on Shakespeare’s timeless comedy Twelfth Night.
Saturday, 4 July, 14:50 – Soccer Season: Offside. Mondli is captain of Soweto Kickers A Under 17 and is doing his best to lead his team. But with his father away and his mother not coping at home, being a leader is not easy. When the competing demands of home and team cause clashes in his life, Mondli realises what true leadership really is.
Saturday, 4 July, 16:30 – Shaolin Soccer. In this hysterical, eye-popping comedy, a team of misfits take their best shot at winning a championship by mixing martial arts with soccer. Using unorthodox gameplay, they face the dreaded Team Evil in the ultimate battle for the title.
Super Soccer Saturday begins on Studio Universal on 27 June, bringing football-inspired favourites through to 4 July 2026.
